1. Unity: This does not mean we are called to be uniform in personality. Nor does it mean that we never have different opinions. Unity means that in spite of personality differences and divergent opinions we choose to remain unified. We are to remain unified in affection, spirit, and purpose (Phil. 2:2).
2. Humility: The greatest enemy to humility is pride. This has been the demise of many people. Selfish ambition can subtely creep into the heart and takes residence there. Also, these people become conceited chasing after empty accolades and man's opinion. The proper Christian attitude is to be humble; always esteeeming others better than ourselves (Phil. 2:3).
3. Selflessness: A selfless person considers the needs of others. This means having a very focused and concetrated effort on our part as we look at supporting our friends, family, and fellow believers in their daily needs. To truly be selfless we not only look out for our own interests, but also the interests of others (Phil. 2:4).
